Cap’s Artistry was built on a passion for woodworking and a commitment to creating beautiful, lasting furniture for our community. We’re grateful to collaborate with homeowners, businesses, designers, and builders to bring unique visions to life. We build solid wood furniture, from custom dining tables to countertops, mantels to bench seating, and more and as a fully custom woodshop, we’re always open to new requests.
Every piece is handcrafted in Michigan, made from USA-sourced hardwoods and custom Michigan-forged metalwork — designed to last a lifetime and support local makers.
We build in a variety of styles, including contemporary, modern, rustic, and live edge and collaborate with residential and commercial customers to establish which style best suits their space and functionality needs.
Cap's Artistry currently builds and delivers custom woodworks for customers across Michigan and northern Ohio and ship a variety of other design-ready items like dining and coffee tables and shelves across the continental US, which can be found under our Available Now page.

Our Custom Build Process

Step 1 - Initial Contact
Reach out by phone or online and share a brief description of what you’re looking for. We’ll walk you through how our process works.

Step 2 - Rough Price Estimate
We will review your idea and share a rough estimate range for the project, helping us both see if the project feels like the right fit.

Step 3 - Design Fee
To move forward, a $150 design fee is required. This covers samples (if needed), and dialing in exact dimensions, wood species, and pricing.

Step 4 - Project Kickoff
Once the design is approved, we require a 50% deposit to cover materials. We’ll then source your selected wood and begin the build.

Step 5 - Crafting Begins
Now it’s time to sit back and relax while our skilled craftsmen build your one-of-a-kind, custom piece.

Step 6 - Delivery & Final Payment
Your furniture is delivered and the remaining balance is due upon delivery.
