Cap’s Artistry is a family-owned hardwood furniture shop built on a passion for craftsmanship and a commitment to creating pieces that truly last. From our workshop in Howell, Michigan, we handcraft solid-wood furniture for homeowners, businesses, designers, and builders who value real materials, honest work, and timeless design.
We work with USA-sourced hardwoods and Michigan-forged metalwork, blending traditional woodworking with modern techniques to create furniture built for daily living and generational longevity. Whether you’re drawn to contemporary, modern, rustic, or live-edge styles, we work closely with you to ensure the piece fits your space and reflects your vision.
We proudly serve clients across Michigan and northern Ohio and ship design-ready dining tables, coffee tables, shelving, and other handcrafted pieces throughout the continental U.S. If you’re looking for high-quality hardwood furniture made with intention and integrity, we’d love to build for you.
Our Custom Build Process

Step 1 - Initial Contact
Reach out by phone or online and share a brief description of what you’re looking for. We’ll walk you through how our process works.

Step 2 - Rough Price Estimate
We will review your idea and share a rough estimate range for the project, helping us both see if the project feels like the right fit.

Step 3 - Design Fee
To move forward, a $150 design fee is required. This covers samples (if needed), and dialing in exact dimensions, wood species, and pricing.

Step 4 - Project Kickoff
Once the design is approved, we require a 50% deposit to cover materials. We’ll then source your selected wood and begin the build.

Step 5 - Crafting Begins
Now it’s time to sit back and relax while our skilled craftsmen build your one-of-a-kind, custom piece.

Step 6 - Delivery & Final Payment
Your furniture is delivered and the remaining balance is due upon delivery.
